Birth record shows name as Flora Mary Culhane, and Baptized Oct 31 1875 as Flora Mary Culhane at St Stephen's Catholic Church Port Huron MI: Sponsors John D & Louisa McIntosh. Name on her tombstone is "M Flora Hewitt". It is unresolved if Mary or May is correct, or if it is the 1st or middle name. She was called "Flora".

1898. Flora worked as a grocery clerk for C L Bowman in Pinckney MI (Pinckney Pathways Vol 1, by Milton E Charboneau, undated, p55).

1900. Flora was a professional seamstress and owned a dress shop in Ann Arbor MI (census).

1904. Nov 24, May Culhane from Pinckney MI was a witness at the St Marys Catholic Church in Pinckney to the marriage of Raymond Culhane to Mary Rebecca Bell (TCp12.1). This could be Flora Culhane at age 29.

1910. Census of Ann Arbor MI in Washtenaw Co indicated Flora Culhane age 34, single, dressmaker & owns shop, can read and write; boarded at Robert McCann's.

1915. Mar 18th, Flora Culhane married Frank Robert Hewitt in Detroit MI. They lived in Pinckney until c1926.

1921. Frank worked as a painter for the Univ of MI in Ann Arbor (DIR).

1924. Flora lived in Ypsilanti (father's obituary).

1926. Flora lived in Ypsilanti (mother's obituary).

1927. They lived at 4509 Prospect Rd in Superior Twp Washtenaw Co MI, which is in Ypsilanti MI.

1953. Aug 2nd, Frank died at Pittsfield Twp County [Washtenaw Co] Hospital of prostate cancer: Lived 4509 Prospect Rd. Buried in Washtenong Cemetery: A private cemetery 3-4 mi N of Ann Arbor on old US-23, in Northfield Twp Washtenaw Co.

1960. Mar 11th, Flora died at the Willow Village Convalescent Home at 7879 4th St Dexter MI, of coronary thrombosis and arteriosclerotic heart disease. Funeral at Muehlig Chapel. Buried in Washtenong Cemetery. (Ann Arbor News Mar 12 1952). No Children.
