Welcome

The Raths surname comes almost exclusively from Luxembourg. Many of them immigrated to Michigan and Minnesota. Occasionally the "s" was dropped in the US. The first known generation is Henri Raths (1) born circa 1650 in Reichlange, Luxembourg. Peter Raths (7) left Luxembourg at the age of 12 with his parents. He started the Raths Oil Company which became the Lincoln Oil Company
